Requirement to execute binary jar file

JSynoptic is a Java application. Thus it needs a Java Run-time Environment. Please make sure you have a JRE version 1.4 or later installed on your system before trying to install and run JSynoptic.

Requirements to compile source code

  • We recommand you to compile JSynoptic project with Eclipse environment. See FAQ to set up the Eclipse environment with the latest JSynoptic CVS.
  • The Jakarta Ant project is a very powerful make system. The build was tested with version 1.7.0, but older versions may work too.
